RN Procedural – Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR)

Oklahoma City, OK

Contract | Onsite

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures; obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Communicates care plans to patients and families throughout the hospital stay and at time of discharge, including referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Oversees treatment provided by technicians and other service providers; delegates tasks to support staff appropriately.
• Completes required orientation and demonstrates ability to function independently in the specialty area prior to independent assignment.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
• Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program.
• Experience working effectively as part of a team delivering specialized nursing care.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services within a specialty setting.
