Job Title
Sous Chef – NEW LOCATION
Pay Range$56,513.60 – $76,505.00 / year (50 hours per week)

The Sous Chef assists in leading a culinary team and managing daily restaurant culinary and food service operations to ensure high operating standards.
Responsibilities- Lead a high‑volume scratch kitchen culinary team – food prep, menu execution, procedures, and recipes.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through memorable culinary experiences.
- Develop, mentor, and inspire the culinary team to continue learning and teaching.
- Promote a fun and positive family‑style work environment.
- Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and hiring.
- Provide feedback to staff and recognize staff achievements.
- Maintain product quality standards by performing regular line checks.
- Engage in prep and line cooking activities as needed during the shift to ensure timely execution.
- Follow and execute all state safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Contribute to building sales and maximize financial success for the restaurant.
- Assist with cost control and food inventories as directed by the Executive Chef.
- 2+ years of prior culinary or restaurant experience.
- Experience managing inventory, cost of goods, and overall financial control.
- Hands‑on, fast‑paced, high‑volume environment experience.
- Mentoring and training hourly team members experience.
- Stand and walk for 8–10 hour shifts.
- Reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs. repeatedly; lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
- Operate kitchen equipment including wok, mixer, slicer, buffalo chopper, and knives.
- Work around varied temperature levels – warm to very warm.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in casual or upscale dining.
- Experience in a restaurant chain or franchise with established processes and corporate structure.
