Merchandise and Stocking Associate

Overview

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

The merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sam’s Club members by keeping shelves stocked, ensuring products are easy to find, and delivering friendly member service. The role may involve moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, stocking shelves, and assisting members. The job can be physically demanding and fast-paced, with responsibilities across daily store operations to support a positive member experience.

• Unload trucks promptly and stock products on shelves and in the backroom
• Assist fellow associates across the store as needed
• Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
• Ensure club pick-up orders are filled and staged according to policy
• Monitor product rotation, labeling, pricing, and display quality
• Support safety procedures and policies, including safe handling of materials
• Provide member service by acknowledging needs and guiding product selection

• Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assist with self-service technology and purchasing decisions
• Maintain safety by conducting safety checks and following disposal and handling guidelines
• Support merchandising standards by zoning, stocking, organizing displays, and removing damaged goods
• Ensure product quality and sanitation, including proper rotation and recalls management
• Follow company policies and ethics; communicate progress and adapt to changes

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
