Security Officer II – Full Time

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a committed Security Officer II to provide full‑time protection and safety services across our facilities. The role focuses on proactive patrols, incident response, and maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols and safety tours to monitor access points and identify potential threats.
• Maintain and respond to the infant, child, and adult protection system management.
• Respond promptly to assistance requests and emergency situations.
• Perform additional security and safety duties as assigned.
• Ensure accurate time accountability.

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• 21 or older to be covered under NRHS insurance carrier.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
• Successful completion of Legal Issues, Force Continuum, Handcuffing Techniques, and O.C. Pepper Spray training within one year of employment (or current supporting training).
• Must possess or attain a CLEET Unarmed Security License within one year.
• Complete IAHSS Basic certification within one year of hire.
• Finish MANDT de‑escalation training within one year of hire.
• Complete Integrated Community Safety (ICS) training modules during the first 30‑day training period.
