This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. Join the CBRE Team in providing facilities excellence at a large manufacturing facility in Norman, OK. This position is OT eligible, with no on-call requirement, and the schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm.
Other Job Titles: HVAC Engineer, HVAC Service Technician, HVAC/R Technician, Commercial HVAC Technician.
What You’ll Do- Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
- Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as needed.
- Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order materials and supplies to finish tasks.
- Maintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to adopt new perspectives on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages and fractions.
