Job Duties
  • Assist with all facets of athletic equipment and uniforms assigned to varsity intercollegiate athletic teams.
  • Ensure all equipment and uniform needs are met for assigned sports practices and competitions.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures regarding distribution of equipment for assigned intercollegiate sports.
  • Adhere to OSHA requirements and NCAA regulations regarding equipment safety.
  • Assist with all laundry room operations, storing necessary laundry and supplies for use by Athletic Department staff.
  • Assist with facility event set-up for all varsity intercollegiate athletic teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Applicants will be assigned to one of the 21 varsity sports within the OU Athletics Department; assignment is determined by head coaches and full‑time equipment staff.
Required Education
  • Currently enrolled in the Spring 2026 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
Required Skills
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding, following, and enforcing safety procedures.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet.
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletic programs and specifically equipment room operations.
  • Team oriented, accountable, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and touch.
  • Willingness to participate in activities related to practice, including shagging balls, collecting uniforms, and setting up necessary sports equipment.
Department Preferences
  • Experience as an equipment manager, youth sports coach/referee, or student‑athlete.
