Financial Controller

An upcoming requirement for a Financial Controller to join a long standing, privately owned SME in Bradford. The business has an established trading history and a straightforward ownership structure, with the finance function supporting the main trading company alongside wider group interests. This is a hands on Financial Controller position with responsibility for the finance function and regular interaction with the Directors.

The role combines financial reporting and control with budgeting, cash flow management and reporting, providing useful financial information to support business decisions. It would be well suited to a chartered accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of a broad finance remit within an SME environment. Main duties of the role:
Full responsibility for the day to day finance function across the trading business, holding company and wider group Preparation of monthly management accounts, group reporting and financial analysis Cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting Oversight of purchase and sales ledgers, working capital and balance sheet reconciliations Management of intercompany transactions and balances Running the monthly payroll in house, including PAYE and pensions VAT returns and wider financial compliance Preparation of year end information and liaison with external accountants Supporting the Directors with commercial analysis and ad hoc financial reporting Oversight of the Finance Assistant and continuous improvement of finance processes and controls Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 IPS Finance has 45 years experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
