Warehouse Associate

Eastern States Steel, a steel service center located in Norristown PA, is looking to fill an immediate need for a full time Warehouse Associate.

Since 1979, Eastern has served both local and regional rebar, structural, flat rolled steel and metal fabrication production and distribution. The facility is located within 2 blocks of Norristown Transportation Station with access to both regional train and bus.

Shift: 7:45am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Compensation: $18/hr to start and eligible up to $20/hr after 3-month provisionary period plus benefits
Benefits:

· (7) Days Paid Holiday per Year

· (5) Days Prorated Paid Time Off (PTO) in Year 1 to (15) Days PTO max in Year 6

· Company covers 25% of optional health care coverage after 3 months full time

General Essential Functions:

- Preparing orders for processing in accordance with production reports.
- Operating various machinery such as forklifts, band saws, shears, and leveling lines.
- Keeping a clean workspace.
- Other miscellaneous warehouse jobs as needed.

Education and Experience:

- No prior experience or certification necessary, on-site training available.

- Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures.

- Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Position requires year-round work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to traverse the entire facility and lift 70 pounds without issue.
