Behavior Technician

Job Goal:
To provide the best educational experience for the schools’ students.

Supervision:
Reports to Building Principal and Director of Student Support Services.

This position is:
School Year Only, (180 days) 7 hours per day 5 days per week.

• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to provide a highly structured approach to behavioral management
• Work with students to reduce behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, property destruction, disruption
• Use strategies provided by the BCBA (ie discrete trial training) to instruct students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs
• Provide mentoring and direct support to students during specified un-structured times of the day (lunch, recess, etc)
• Collect data on behavioral interventions and assist in monitoring progress
  
  With teachers and other support staff, implement elements of student behavior intervention plans under the supervision of the BCBA and Special Education Coordinator
• Participate in meetings (IEP, Behavior Plan, etc.) as necessary.
