. Tourists Hotel is hiring for Kitchen Staff! Hourly (Non-Exempt). We are a small, fun, and engaging group looking to grow our BOH kitchen team. We are seeking passionate, curious, and hardworking line cooks to begin or develop their cooking skills. We strongly encourage people of all skill levels and backgrounds to apply. We are currently looking for both AM and PM shifts.

About us: TOURISTS is a 48-room hotel that opened in 2018 in North Adams, MA, a resurgent town in the Berkshires and a trailhead for New England's history, art, food, music, and exploration.

Essential Functions
  • An open mind and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable handling a knife.
  • Cooking/preparing foods using standardized recipes.
  • Keep a high level of cleanliness and safety in work areas.
  • Maintaining equipment in good, safe working condition.
  • Complying with food safety regulations.
  • Keeping abreast of and complying with safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements.

  • Demonstrate understanding of portion control, knife skills, plating, and execution of a recipe.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced meal service.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the primary language of the workplace.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • High School diploma or GED or relevant trade school training.
