Position: Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room (OR) in North Adams, Massachusetts. This travel assignment invites you to combine advanced perioperative practice with the thrill of exploring a region famed for its natural beauty and cultural vibrancy. In the OR, your precision, leadership, and compassionate care directly shape patient outcomes—from preoperative optimization to meticulous instrument handling and safe emergence from anesthesia.

Here, your skills will be tested and celebrated in equal measure, and your contributions will resonate across the hospital and the community you serve. Beyond the unit, Massachusetts offers a tapestry of experiences: rolling hills and scenic byways, world‑class galleries and museums, outdoor adventures, and festivals that celebrate local talent and innovation. In North Adams you’ll find easy access to Mount Greylock’s sweeping views, the dynamic arts scene of the Berkshires, and charming towns perfect for weekend getaways, all while enjoying a pace that invites focus, connection, and opportunity.

Nestled in the northern Berkshire region, North Adams blends a welcoming, small‑city feel with the sophistication of a thriving medical center. Working here means you can immerse yourself in a community that values patient care and professional growth, while also enjoying easy access to broader New England landscapes. The location offers the best of both worlds: a tight‑knit environment that supports your clinical leadership and the chance to explore Massachusetts’ cultural treasures, outdoor trails, rural charm, and nearby urban hubs.

For those who also relish variety, this assignment is part of a program that can place you in different locations across the U.S., expanding your professional repertoire while keeping you grounded in top‑tier perioperative practice.

As an OR RN on this assignment, you’ll play a pivotal role in patient safety and surgical excellence. Your responsibilities will span the spectrum of perioperative care: performing accurate preoperative assessments, ensuring meticulous sterile technique, assisting with instrument counts and setup, scrubbing and circulating as needed, coordinating with anesthesia teams, and supporting smooth turnover between cases. You’ll monitor patient status through all phases of the procedure, advocate for rapid, accurate documentation in electronic health records, and contribute to postoperative handoffs that emphasize continuity of care.

The role also offers pathways for professional growth within the OR specialty—whether pursuing certification like CNOR, expanding into advanced perioperative roles, or gaining exposure to diverse surgical subspecialties. This is a position designed to challenge your diagnostic acumen, refine your leadership in high‑stakes situations, and expand your clinical impact across a busy OR schedule.

This opportunity comes with competitive benefits designed to support you as you travel. Expect a weekly pay range of $2,685–$2,737, with the understanding that hours are not guaranteed and will be scheduled according to unit needs. In addition to earnings, you may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus, housing assistance, and potential extension opportunities that let you continue the journey beyond the initial assignment.

You’ll find robust support for your travel and professional life, including comprehensive onboarding, a dedicated clinical liaison, and 24/7 assistance from a travel companion team as you move between assignments. You’ll have access to modern OR facilities and the latest equipment, along with structured opportunities for continuing education and skill enhancement—so you can stay at the forefront of surgical nursing practice while enjoying the experience of new settings and patient populations.

This environment is designed to honor your expertise, provide clear pathways for advancement, and recognize the value you bring to every operation.

Our partner organization is committed to empowering clinicians like you, cultivating a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and professional development. You’ll be part of a workplace that prioritizes…
