The Registered Professional Nurse functions as a health care team leader responsible for the safe delivery of patient‑centered, goal‑oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Professional Nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

• Serve as the health‑care team leader for patient care in the emergency department.
• Provide patient‑centered, goal‑oriented care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
• ( Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and TNCC required within one year of employment; PALS required within 18 months of employment.
