American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for an 8-hour day shift assignment requiring proficiency in peri-op and PACU care with multiple surgical specialty experience.
Requirements- Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no compact, provisional, conditional, or temporary licenses accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Minimum 2 years of OR or Pre-Op experience required
- Phase I and II PACU experience required
- Multiple surgical specialty experience required
- BSN preferred
- PACU skills checklist current within 1 year required
- Pre/Peri-Op skills checklist current within 1 year required
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
- Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment
- Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
- 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed
- No weekend requirements, but holidays required if needed
- Will float and precept to facility and an affiliated surgery center as needed
- Must have proficiency in Phase I and II PACU care
- Experience with sedation, critical drips, and telemetry interpretation required
- Responsible for preparing both the OR room and the patient
- Multiple surgical specialty experience required
- Facility-provided scrubs
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Permanent address must be included in candidate profile
- All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile submission; requests made after offer may result in rescinded offer
- Candidates preferring block scheduling or 10/12-hour shift accommodations will not be considered
- Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
