The Financial Analyst helps develop and manage department and school budgets. This includes responsibilities like compiling data, developing financial reports, accounting, analyzing and monitoring finances, forecasting, reconciling revenues and expenditures, and recording revenue.
The Financial Analyst must be able to handle several projects at any given time. This position is an ideal opportunity for someone who has strong analytical and/or financial skills and cares about providing strong customer service to people who work in schools. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Compile data and develop financial reports.
- Account for and analyze finances, monitor finances, forecast, reconcile revenues and expenditures, and record revenue.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide strong customer service to school staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or a similar field of study and 1+ years experience in accounting, finance, data, or a related environment OR a high school diploma with five (5) years of relevant experience. They must possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office or Google Drive, especially with Excel/Sheets; and be a team player and able to work well with others, as well as work independently.
Experience with Budget Sense, MUNIS or other financial/accounting software, and experience with municipal accounting or school business experience are a plus.
