Retail Gift Sales

We are looking for an outgoing, dependable, and positive Retail Sales Associate who enjoys working with people and helping customers have a great shopping experience. We need someone who can work in the mornings and on some Saturdays Our store offers a fun mix of apparel, gifts, home décor, seasonal merchandise, Christmas décor, and specialty products, so every day can be a little different.

We are looking for someone who enjoys retail, likes staying busy, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.

Customer Service & Sales Our goal is not simply to ring up purchases. We want our Sales Associates to engage with customers and help them enjoy shopping with us. The right person knows how to recognize when a customer wants assistance and when they would rather browse. They are comfortable starting conversations, answering questions, suggesting products, and helping customers make purchasing decisions.

We want our customers to leave feeling like they were welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely helped.

• Greet every customer in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Provide helpful, attentive customer service without making customers feel pressured.
• Learn our products so you can confidently answer questions and make recommendations.
• Help customers find clothing, gifts, home décor, and other merchandise that fits what they are looking for.
• Suggest additional or coordinating products when appropriate.
• Assist customers with sizing, styles, colors, gift ideas, and product selections.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process purchases, returns, discounts, and other transactions.
• Answer phones and assist with customer questions.
• Keep merchandise neat, organized, folded, hung, and properly displayed.
• Restock merchandise and help maintain full, attractive displays.
• Assist with unpacking, pricing, tagging, and putting out new merchandise.
• Help maintain fitting room and clothing areas.
• Keep counters, displays, floors, and customer areas clean and presentable.
• Help prepare customer orders, packages, or merchandise for pickup when necessary.
• Assist other team members whenever needed to keep the store running smoothly.

• Previous retail or customer-service experience is helpful, but personality, dependability, work ethic, and willingness to learn are extremely important to us.
• Has knowledge and can operate computer software, credit card machines and phone lines.

A great Retail Sales Associate doesn't wait behind the register for someone to make a purchase. They greet customers, learn the merchandise, help people find what they need, straighten displays when the store is quiet, restock products, and look for ways to help their coworkers. We are looking for someone who understands that great retail is about both selling products and creating an experience that makes customers want to come back.

Most importantly, we want someone who comes to work with a positive attitude, treats customers and coworkers well, and is willing to do their part to make the entire store successful.
