Department: School of Trades and Technology – Advanced Manufacturing Program
Location: Commerce Court Campus – North Bay, ON
Contract Duration: January 12, 2026 – April 24, 2026
The following teaching need is required for in-class delivery (no remote or hybrid options) at the Commerce Court Campus:
- Bachelor of Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in Advanced Manufacturing
- Experience creating interactive and practical learning experiences
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in mechanical design such as Python (for scripting, automation, and numerical analysis)
- Understanding of mechanical design processes in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or robotics
- Ability to design hands-on, project-based learning modules tailored to various skill levels
- Understanding of machine learning, optimization, and data visualization for engineering problems
- Knowledgeable in coding for 3D printing and design optimization techniques
- Highly effective communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in learning management systems (Brightspace or Moodle) and educational technologies is an asset
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design in a post-secondary context is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
- Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
- Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
