Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at Beacon Healthcare Solution, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Retail and Compounding pharmacy while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. You will lead a team of pharmacy clerks, technicians, and pharmacists, ensuring the proper preparation of medications and maintaining the highest standards in patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership And Compliance:
    Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations of the compounding pharmacy.
  • Leadership And Compliance:
    Ensure all Policies & Procedures are up-to-date and in compliance with current statutes and rules.
  • Leadership And Compliance:
    Prepare and review self-inspection reports, ensuring timely submission.
  • Patient & Provider Relations:
    Counsel patients on new prescriptions, answering any questions professionally and courteously.
  • Patient & Provider Relations:
    Advise prescribers on appropriate doses and dosage forms as needed.
  • Patient & Provider Relations:
    Ensure accuracy in all prescription orders, verifying with providers when necessary.
  • Inventory & Supply Management:
    Proactively manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering necessary chemicals and supplies.
  • Inventory & Supply Management:
    Oversee controlled substances logs and ensure proper record-keeping in compliance with DEA requirements.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
    Assist in training staff and developing their skills in compounding and other pharmacy services.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Help maintain the cleanliness and proper organization of the pharmacy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Comprehensive, clinical pharmaceutical knowledge base.
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in current state and federal regulations relevant to contemporary pharmacy standards.
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with others are required.
  • Ability to negotiate, problem solve and provide exceptional customer services to all patients and caregivers.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy. Previous experience in a managerial role within a pharmacy setting is preferred.
  • Proven experience in Retail and Compounding pharmacy is preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing pharmacy staff is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and with home health experts as needed.
  • APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate or equivalent or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 90-day grace period.

  • Consistently meets all statutory and regulatory requirements for pharmacy operations.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of patient needs and delivers realistic, high-quality care.
  • Maintains current and appropriate pharmacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from the entire team.
Work Schedule
  • Hours:

    40 hours/week, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts if necessary.
  • Additional hours may be required to meet operational demands.
  • Closed on major holidays.
