Senior Cost Accountant @ Global Manufacturing Firm

We’re partnering with a leading, global manufacturer in Northern NJ that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. This role will play a key part in driving accurate inventory valuation, tracking and analyzing production costs, and supporting month‑end close processes. It’s an excellent opportunity for a cost accounting professional with strong manufacturing experience to work closely with leadership and make an impact in a fast‑paced environment.

• Support month‑end close, including journal entries, inventory valuation, and preparation of financial reports.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate monthly cutoff for sales, inventory, receivables, and payables.
• Maintain and update standard cost systems, including annual cost standards and monthly commodity price updates.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, scrap valuation analysis, and assist with the annual physical inventory.
• Prepare cost roll‑ups for new part numbers and support overhead cost pool development for budgeting and variance analysis.
• Partner with leadership to implement process improvements in financial reporting and systems.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or business‑related field.
• 7+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Experience with process improvement and working across cross‑functional teams.
