Job Description
:
The Lender Relationship Management associate sits within the Capital Formation team of BXCI’s Chief Investment Office. The associate will support the Capital Formation team as well as the Blackstone Strategic Relationships team with analyzing, tracking and reporting on the totality of BXCI’s relationships with external counter parties including banks, asset managers, insurance companies, and more.

The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Track counter party liability exposure within BXCI’s balance sheet, including credit leverage facilities and CLO debt.
  • Aggregate and report on the various types of fees paid to counter parties.
  • Coordinate and produce the BXCI commentary and internal briefing materials and follow ups for senior management relationship meetings with external counter parties.
  • Create and update presentations on counter party relationships and potential partnerships.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on relevant topics related to counter party relationships.
  • Work closely with other teams including deal teams, treasury, operations, corporate strategic relationships, and technology to gather the most up-to-date information, drive efficiencies in internal reporting, and create automation where applicable.
  • Various additional recurring and ad hoc relationship requests from senior management.

Qualifications
:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are initiative-taking and intelligent with sound judgement and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in an investment bank, consulting firm or an advisory firm.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into digestible reporting.
  • A desire to work in a team environment, often under competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a “can do” attitude, diligent and conscientious work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and keen attention to details.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptive, collaborative, positive and proactive mindset.
