Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with breast ultrasound experience to join our Breast Center team. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures utilizing high-frequency sound waves to assist medical staff in detecting anatomical abnormalities. This role requires proficiency in breast ultrasound techniques, image optimization, and assisting with breast interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform breast ultrasound exams, including routine and complex cases using various transducers and Doppler techniques.
- Optimize image acquisition by adjusting settings for clear, high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and interventional procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure proper positioning.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine cleaning, calibration, and minor troubleshooting.
- Manage patient records and image archiving via PACS and other systems like EPIC and Teletracking.
- Adhere to infection control, safety policies, and patient care standards.
- Provide technical guidance to students and medical residents as needed.
- Lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and assist with patient transfers when necessary.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound School with 2 years of Allied Health/College training.
- RDMS (required)
- BLS - AHA (required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ultrasound, preferably with breast ultrasound expertise.
- Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound equipment operation.
