Optometrist

Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join a well-established independent group in the East of Scotland, working across practices in North Berwick and the surrounding coastal towns. This role offers the chance to provide high-quality, community-focused eye care in beautiful seaside locations, with flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive eye examinations tailored to patient needs.
  • Provide expert advice on eye health, vision care, and preventative measures.
  • Utilise modern equipment including OCT and fundus imaging.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional standards.
  • Build strong relationships with patients and the local community.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure excellent patient care.

Team Development:

  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
  • Engage in ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities.

About You:

  • GOC registered Optometrist (newly qualified or experienced welcome).
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Patient-focused with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Interested in working within a community-based independent setting.
  • Open to relocation or seeking a lifestyle change in a coastal location.
