Full-time, Permanent A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced People Advisor to support its site-based operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive HR professional to provide first-line people support, partnering with managers and employees across a fast-paced operational environment. You'll play a key role in employee relations, recruitment, absence management, onboarding, wellbeing and colleague engagement.
Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for HR and people-related queries. Provide advice and guidance on absence, conduct, capability, grievance and probation matters. Support employee relations processes, investigations and formal meetings. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and probation activities. Monitor absence management and occupational health referrals. Maintain accurate HR records, reports and documentation. Support employee engagement, wellbeing and communication initiatives.
Build effective relationships with managers, employees and trade union representatives. Ensure HR processes are compliant with employment legislation and internal policies. About You Experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations. Confident supporting managers with people-related matters. Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills. Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous. CIPD qualification or working towards accreditation is desirable.
