- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based data ingestion pipelines into Elasticsearch 9.x
- Own index and query design decisions, optimizing for performance and scale
- Take Elasticsearch-related stories from grooming through delivery, working independently
- Write and tune complex SQL against relational data sources feeding the platform
- Support production releases, including deployment validation and post-release monitoring
- Triage and resolve production and non-production tickets
- Contribute to story grooming, estimation, and technical design discussions
- Extensive hands‑on Elasticsearch experience, including index design and cluster fundamentals
- Strong command of core Elasticsearch concepts: index templates, aliases, shards and replicas, analyzers, and cluster architecture
- Proven experience writing and optimizing complex Query DSL
- Experience building production data ingestion pipelines in Java, preferably with the Elasticsearch Java API Client
- Proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and performance tuning
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive technical decisions with limited supervision
- Experience supporting production systems and release cycles
