Schwing Bioset is seeking an experienced Engineering
Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of customer projects from planning through completion. This position is responsible for managing project deliverables, timelines, costs, and scope while ensuring customers and internal stakeholders have the information and resources needed for successful project execution.
This is an in-person position located at our North Branch, MN facility. Position not available for hybrid or relocation assistance.
Project Planning
- Lead project planning activities in collaboration with Division Leaders, Production Planning, Engineering, and other key stakeholders.
- Establish project deliverables, timelines, milestones, and work breakdown structures.
- Develop project plans and coordinate activities required to meet customer commitments.
- Develop and maintain project cost and benefit estimates.
- Develop and maintain project forecasts aligned with approved project budgets.
- Monitor project financial performance and complete weekly financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Identify and address cost variances and work with project team members to implement corrective actions.
- Communicate significant financial variances and potential impacts to leadership.
- Develop and maintain effective communication plans for project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare project status reports and management review materials.
- Track project issues and coordinate timely resolution.
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Coordinate with Engineering to ensure project design, fabrication, and release requirements are completed on schedule.
- Partner with Purchasing, Production, Testing, Quality, and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage resources and priorities within project scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Provide leadership and direction through collaboration and influence across multiple functional areas.
- Lead project closeout activities and capture lessons learned.
- Communicate lessons learned to the project team and apply improvements to future projects.
- Promote a positive and collaborative project environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–5 years of project management experience within SAP.
- Experience managing technical or engineering-related projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- PMP certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to travel approximately 10%.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Results-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency.
- Ability to anticipate project needs, identify risks, and take proactive action.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to build relationships and effectively manage projects through collaboration and influence.
- Ability to make timely decisions and consistently follow through on commitments.
This is a highly collaborative role that works across Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Testing, and Leadership to ensure projects are delivered successfully. The Project Manager will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, project profitability, and the successful execution of complex technical projects.
