Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr

Compensation

The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary

Reporting to the North Branch Plant Manager, the Lab Quality Supervisor is a key contributor to Zinpro’s success by ensuring quality product through sample analysis and quality control. Success in this position requires the ability to manage processes, documentation, and troubleshoot. In addition, the supervisor will ensure products and processes comply with internal SOPs and external requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Performs lab sampling and inspection on finished products, raw materials, process fluids, and in‑process products.
  • Forms, implements, and documents quality control objectives, initiatives, and procedures related to instrumentation calibration, product testing, auditing, and inspection.
  • Ensures laboratory follows Good Laboratory Practice (GLPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Documents all lab analysis performed and ensures needed lab documents and testing records are up to date, organized, and available.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Enters all lab results in databases and records.
  • Investigates quality issues and leads root cause analysis of non‑conformance and implements corrective actions.
  • Prepares and communicates sample findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and leads daily team activities.
  • Performs required housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Works in accordance with required safety procedures, standards, and other requirements.
  • Handles or observes the requirements of the following Quality Management System to ensure conformance to the required ISO 9000:2000, FCI RUP, HACCP, AFIA Safe Feed/Safe Food, and FAMI‑QS standards.
  • Supervises, trains, and mentors Lab Technician(s).
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education.
  • 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
  • 1–3 years supervisory experience.
  • Chemistry knowledge.
  • Aptitude for lab analysis.
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Tactful and courteous, maintaining good working relationships with coworkers.
