Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities to advance or create new battery chemistries and energy storage solutions.
• Create and present reports on the company’s research and development status, goals, and progress.
• Work with customers to develop customized chemistries and solutions for their application.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate levels of validation and verification are conducted to demonstrate that the system-level requirements can be met.
• Represent the company as a technical expert for ongoing project delivery and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a STEM subject equivalent or related to Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. A doctoral-level degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of battery technologies.
• Strong experience with battery safety and performance testing equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Experience in developing electrochemical and/or thermal models for batteries.
