Toddler Lead Teacher

Full‑Time, Toddler Lead Teacher who has a passion for serving children 18 months - 3 years, and their families, in a caring educational setting that is rooted in the mission of the YMCA, a non‑profit, charity organization.

$14.00‑16.00/hr

• Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans
• Responsible for well‑being and personal growth of the children
• Assists in potty training
• Leads the classroom team that includes supervision of Assistant Teachers
• Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child
• Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents
• Maintains classroom and program equipment
• Maintains required program records
• Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
• Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year. (trainings provided by YMCA and affiliates)

• At least 18 years old
• High school graduate
• Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above

• Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning and conducting assessments
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
