About the Opportunity:

This open position is with First Energy Service Company, a subsidiary of First Energy Corporation located at the Akron‑Canton airport (KCAK). The company operates a FAR Part 91, ISBAO Stage III certified flight department with turbine‑powered large cabin fixed‑wing and rotor‑wing aircraft. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician reports to the Manager of Flight Maintenance and will perform maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance program.

Responsibilities
  • Work within Flight Operations to maintain a culture with a high‑level safety and customer service.
  • Maximize aircraft safety, operational availability and dispatch reliability by performing pre‑post flight inspections, scheduled and non‑routine maintenance.
  • Create and manage return‑to‑service paperwork in digital format.
  • Order, receive aircraft parts and consumables. Process returns and related paperwork.
  • Perform towing, marshalling and fueling aircraft.
  • Launch and recover aircraft, including handling passenger luggage.
  • Perform routine cleaning of aircraft, equipment and facility.
  • Operate and maintain the fuel farm.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Valid US passport.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license; IA preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant work experience maintaining multi‑turbine engine fixed‑wing and/or rotor‑wing aircraft. Experience with Falcon 900LX and Bell 429 helicopter preferred.
  • Experience maintaining Honeywell Primus Epic and Garmin avionics preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with people across the department and company.
  • Experience with Veryon and CAMP.
  • Availability to work rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after‑hours call outs.
  • Physical qualifications: lift 70 pounds, work from ladders, scaffolding and manlifts, perform elevated work with fall protection, work in restricted or confined spaces.
  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices.
  • Available for occasional travel to support off‑site maintenance and events.
