Full-time, 36 Hours/week

Monday - Friday, Must be open between hours of 7AM - 7PM

Summary

The Rehab Technician is responsible for providing direct/indirect patient care to multiple patients under the direct on-site supervision of professional staff. Acts as a patient/family liaison with medical and hospital personnel. Assists with various administrative responsibilities and department upkeep.

Responsibilities
  • Patient registration duties, including, but not limited to scheduling, answering phones, checking in patients, checking out patients, collecting co-pays, etc.
  • Department upkeep including preparation of treatment areas and submission of work orders.
  • Equipment maintenance and assembly/disassembly.
  • Track inventory and stock supplies.
  • Video recording therapy sessions.
  • Transporting patients to/from therapy sessions.
  • Direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision (casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, assistance with groups, etc.).
  • Coordination of care between disciplines, providers and family.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
  • Other duties as required.
Other information Technical Expertise
  • Experience in a rehab setting working with children who are medically fragile or have disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
  • Education:

    high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: minimum of 3 years is preferred.
  • Years of experience supervising:
    None.
  • BLS certification required within first 90 days of employment.
