Position: Purchase &  Sales Specialist
Description We are looking for a Purchase & Sales Specialist to join a growing team in North Canton, Ohio in a contract-to-permanent role. This role supports daily purchasing operations while helping maintain strong supplier relationships and steady material availability for the business. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing quote analysis, order management, and coordination with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with the Purchasing Director to identify and obtain materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support business operations.

- Gather and review supplier quotations, assess pricing and service options, and help determine the most suitable vendor selections.

- Prepare and submit purchase orders accurately while following established company guidelines and approval processes.

- Monitor open orders, confirm shipment schedules, and follow up on delayed items or backordered products to reduce disruptions.

- Keep vendor files, purchasing records, and supporting documentation current, organized, and easy to reference.

- Coordinate with inventory and production personnel to help maintain appropriate stock levels and support operational continuity.

- Contribute to cost reduction efforts by tracking supplier performance and identifying opportunities for better purchasing value. Requirements - Experience supporting purchasing, procurement, or supply-related functions in a business environment.

- Working knowledge of purchase order creation, order tracking, and vendor communication processes.

- Ability to compare pricing, review supplier options, and make informed recommendations based on cost and service considerations.

- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams such as inventory, production, and purchasing leadership.

- Proficiency with standard business software and systems used for purchasing activities and record management.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a clear approach to vendor and internal interactions.
