The primary purposes of the Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) are to provide direct patient care, patient and family teaching, and work cooperatively within the interdisciplinary health care team in maintaining standards of nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and within the framework of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Aultman Medical Group you will be responsible for supporting our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This includes but is not limited to rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, giving vaccinations, performing EKGs, answering phones, taking messages, sending messages to appropriate receiver, proposing refills, helping patients, providers and colleagues.

AMG, Family Medicine of Stark County is a Family Medicine practice with at thirteen providers and multiple supporting colleagues located in North Canton, Ohio.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
• IV Certification, preferred.

• Medical Office experience preferred.

• Collects specimens as ordered.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and students.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• LPN is a patient advocate in conjunction with the other members of the healthcare team and fosters patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice and applicable policies.
• Adhere to professional standards and guidelines, including ethical actions, relevant statutes, rules and regulations, during nursing practice.
• Exhibits High Reliability Organization (HRO) tools and tones.
