Route Sale Representative

Overview

Route Sales Representative position at Schwebel Baking Company. This full-time role involves selling and merchandising Schwebel brand products to existing and new accounts and delivering products using the Schwebel bread truck.

• Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Schwebel brand products to grocery stores, restaurants, schools, and other food retailers
• Provide excellent customer service while building relationships
• Responsible for early morning delivery of the products
• Solicit new customers to grow business
• Communicate product knowledge and perform suggestive selling
• Order bread products
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized truck
• Work safely and responsibly

• Route sales experience preferred, but not required
• Must be 21 years of age or older for insurance purposes
• Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to secure a DOT physical
• Safe driving record
• High level of customer service
• Previous wholesale commercial bread sales experience is a plus
• Handheld computer literacy
• Ability to adapt quickly to different working and driving conditions
• Saturday and Sunday availability

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Constant reaching; frequently sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and driving
• Occasionally pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs

Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Schwebel’s will only employ individuals legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
