Tax Professional - Franchise Location at H&R Block

As a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional you will inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their life, careers, and money.

Responsibilities:

• Serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team.
• Build client relationships that grow stronger every year.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (tax notice services, audit representation).
• Mentor and support teammates.
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services;
  Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation.

Qualifications you are already good with:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher.
