Auto Mechanic / Technician - Madison (Up to $50/ flag hour)

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an Auto Mechanic / Technician to join the Madison location. Our ASE certified technicians provide a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.

The candidate will perform diagnoses, repairs, and customer communications while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Up to $50 per flag hour, depending on experience.

• Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep the customer's vehicle in running condition; properly document all recommendations in customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expirations.

• Minimum one unexpired ASE or equivalent certification/training.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
