Lube Technician

A lube technician is an entry-level service professional, responsible for and qualified to perform routine maintenance and repair tasks; such as changing oil, running basic checks, topping off fluids, and checking tire pressure.

• Changing oil on various vehicles (heavy trucks and cars).
• Change oil and air filters.
• Running basic checks on vehicles.
• Lubricates joints and fittings as needed.
• Replace wiper blades.
• Install vehicle batteries.
• Check all fluid levels in vehicles.
• Replenishes fluid levels as required (if necessary).
• Performing tire rotations and tire repair.
• Checks that tires are properly inflated and inflate if necessary.
• Cleaning vehicle interiors.
• Performs other duties as instructed.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Most duties may be performed within the truck shop. Some duties require working outside. Required to use a variety of products and chemicals.

• Perform lifting/pulling/pushing of hoses and tools.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, bending and kneeling for extended periods of time to work on vehicles.
• Continuous walking.
• Requires good dexterity to use tools.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional early morning, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous automotive or truck shop experience.

Valid Driver's License.
