Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Roller Operator to join our civil construction team. The Roller Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of compacting equipment to prepare and finish surfaces on roads, foundations, and other construction projects. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate roller and compacting equipment to compact soil, subgrade, asphalt, and other materials on roads, pads, or other construction surfaces
  • Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a safe working area and comply with all company and site safety policies
  • Read and interpret grade stakes and specifications to ensure proper compaction levels
  • Communicate effectively with site foremen, equipment operators, and ground crews
  • Report any equipment issues or hazards to supervisors immediately
  • Assist with general labor and other tasks as needed on the job site
Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating rollers or other compacting equipment in a civil construction environment
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
