Job Description - Research Scholar
The School of Medicine at West Virginia University is accepting applications for a Research Scholar in the Department of Urology. The position will focus on research for kidney cancer.

The main focus will be on outcomes (oncologic, functional, and morbidities) with a special focus on preexisting comorbidities (CKD, obesity, HTN, etc). We will build a database of approximately 1,500 patients who have been managed with kidney cancer over the past 15 years to support these studies. We will also be able to work with former colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic for collaborative studies.
Other academic activities related to kidney cancer will also be part of the role. The Fellow will participate in Department of Urology conferences, educational activities, and will be supported to attend meetings such as the AUA and Society of Urologic Oncology annual meetings.
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree
- Completed urology residency program
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment
