Clinical Nursing Instructor Responsibilities
- Supervise a clinical group in the hospital, assist with grading journals and skills check-offs, provide feedback to students to improve their clinical practice (90% instructing, 10% reviewing student reflections and journals).
- Understanding of the nursing process.
- Ability to direct students in application of theoretical concepts to clinical environment.
- Oversee medication administration and incorporate 5 rights of medication administration.
- Manage multiple priorities in the clinical environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum nursing experience 2 years.
- Agrees to participate in clinical instructor program in next year OR currently working towards a masters degree in nursing.
- Nursing experience 5 years.
- Prior experience teaching nursing students.
