Position: Clinical Nursing Instructor - #C98975
Location: Cullowhee

Clinical Nursing Instructor Responsibilities

  • Supervise a clinical group in the hospital, assist with grading journals and skills check-offs, provide feedback to students to improve their clinical practice (90% instructing, 10% reviewing student reflections and journals).
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Understanding of the nursing process.
  • Ability to direct students in application of theoretical concepts to clinical environment.
  • Oversee medication administration and incorporate 5 rights of medication administration.
  • Manage multiple priorities in the clinical environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Minimum nursing experience 2 years.
  • Agrees to participate in clinical instructor program in next year OR currently working towards a masters degree in nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nursing experience 5 years.
  • Prior experience teaching nursing students.
