Position OverviewTeach and facilitate the application of nursing research theories, principles, and the research process.

- Conduct research principles of the course.
- Correlate classroom content to the clinical setting.
- Facilitate students’ achievement of course objectives and mastery of skills and competencies.
- Utilize multiple teaching methods applicable to the clinical learning environment.
- Serve as a nursing resource for healthcare and local agencies.
- Model professionalism, cultural and linguistic diversity, and teaching ability.
- Act as a role model for students in professional, social, and civic areas.
- Evidence of continued professional development and/or certification.
- Utilize feedback from student/faculty evaluations for instructional improvement.
- Serve as a role model in professional and civic areas.
- Utilize evidence‑based research in teaching and nursing practice.
- Attend research conferences, classes, and symposiums to increase knowledge.
- Master of Science in Nursing; consideration for baccalaureate with preparation in teaching/principles in adult education.
- Minimum two (calendar) years full‑time clinical nursing practice as an RN verified with the Board of Nursing.
- Work or teaching experience in Nursing Research.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina.
- Current unrestricted RN license, CTA certification, or in the process of completing CTA certification.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
- Valid US Driver's License (not required). Commercial Driver's License not required.
