Position Overview

Teach and facilitate the application of nursing research theories, principles, and the research process.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research principles of the course.
  • Correlate classroom content to the clinical setting.
  • Facilitate students’ achievement of course objectives and mastery of skills and competencies.
  • Utilize multiple teaching methods applicable to the clinical learning environment.
  • Serve as a nursing resource for healthcare and local agencies.
  • Model professionalism, cultural and linguistic diversity, and teaching ability.
  • Act as a role model for students in professional, social, and civic areas.
Professional Development
  • Evidence of continued professional development and/or certification.
  • Utilize feedback from student/faculty evaluations for instructional improvement.
  • Serve as a role model in professional and civic areas.
Research and Investigation
  • Utilize evidence‑based research in teaching and nursing practice.
  • Attend research conferences, classes, and symposiums to increase knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing; consideration for baccalaureate with preparation in teaching/principles in adult education.
  • Minimum two (calendar) years full‑time clinical nursing practice as an RN verified with the Board of Nursing.
  • Work or teaching experience in Nursing Research.
  • Current unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina.
  • Current unrestricted RN license, CTA certification, or in the process of completing CTA certification.
License and Driver Requirements
  • Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • Valid US Driver's License (not required). Commercial Driver's License not required.

Open Date: 08/01/2025. Close Date: 02/28/2026.
