OverviewExperience a summer "Where Adventure Grows!" Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to be part of our 2026 Summer Camp Team supporting our overnight camp programs across all Council properties:
Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu-Sha-Ni.

Camp Program Director
LocationCamp Mary Atkinson, Selma, NC (with travel to other Council camps as needed)
DurationSummer 2026 (mid-May through the end of July)
CompensationWeekly salary of $584.00, including housing and meals after training
We’re excited to offer summer camp staff the opportunity to earn up to a $500 bonus this summer!
Here’s How It Works- $250 Mid‑Summer Bonus:
Camp staff hired for the summer who remain employed through the end of June will receive a $250 bonus. - $250 Completion Bonus:
Camp staff who remain employed through the end of summer camp will receive a $250 bonus.
- Supervise Campers and Staff:
The Camp Program Director will develop and implement schedules and procedures while assisting in managing the overall camp operation. - Plan & Lead
Activities:
The Camp Program Director is responsible for planning and delivering fun, safe program activities and events appropriate to the campers' age and abilities. - Create Memories:

RequirementsApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience in administrative/supervisor roles in an environment similar to camp.
- Experience in the development and delivery of programs and activities for similar populations.
- Current instructional certification in camp programming or related experience willing to obtain during training.
- Current certification in first aid and CPR or willing to obtain. Training will be provided.
- Training and experience in teaching programs to adults and children.
- Program coordination skills and commitment to the Girl Scout mission.
- Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.
- Willingness to live and work in a camp setting, including working nontraditional hours.
- Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
- Ability to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
- Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
