The School of Education invites candidates to serve as adjunct faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Education. Excellence in teaching and learning is a core value. Adjunct faculty are expected to demonstrate and maintain campus and department standards, provide face‑to‑face instruction on the main campus, and/or deliver online course instruction using Canvas and other e‑learning tools.
Qualifications &Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in an appropriate field with a minimum of 18 hours of approved graduate coursework in relevant Education subjects.
- Current North Carolina teaching licensure (mandatory).
- Preferred: terminal degree and college‑level teaching experience, especially at the PK‑12 and collegiate level.
- Strong consideration for candidates with extensive professional teaching experience and a demonstrated record of effective instruction.
- Experience in online teaching and ability to structure and implement a distance‑education course (preferred).
- Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication, effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of NC Professional Teaching Standards, NC Standard Course of Study related to elementary teaching practices, and familiarity with Task Stream and edTPA.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and to working in a diverse cultural environment.
