This temporary position is located in 1001 Veazey Road Butner NC 27509 - Granville County. This position is assigned to the Department of Adult Corrections - Education Services.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Job Duties:

• Provide learning activities and experiences designed to foster student academic success as well as academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Plan, organize, and present instructional lessons and activities designed to meet needs of students individually, in small groups, and in whole group settings
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and other school personnel regarding students and best instructional practices
• Appropriately manage student behavior in a classroom setting
• Perform other duties as assigned

Considerable knowledge of administrative and office techniques.

Working knowledge of policies, procedures and precedents affecting program area(s).

Ability to practice effective communication in oral and written form.

Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement policy and procedural guidelines.

Ability to learn the purpose of the program's organization including its mission, services, clients and measures of business effectiveness.

Skill in organizing workflow and coordinating activities.

Skill in modifying processes using applicable technology, web-based data systems and programs.

Ability to plan and supervise the work of others, if applicable.
