To provide services to aid student success in district curriculum and to help with social and emotional needs of students.

• Plans and selects student curriculum programs.
• Administers all standardized tests and surveys and interprets the results to students and parents.
• Provides counseling to students.
• Interprets the District's objectives to students, parents, and the community at large.
• Maintains student records and protects their confidentiality.
• Guides students in their participation in school and community activities.
• Perform other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his/her designee may assign.
• Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with guidance services.
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.

Travels between school district buildings and meetings as required.

• IN State Certification as a Guidance Counselor
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
• Bachelors and Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
