Electrical (Power Distribution) Engineering Manager

This leadership role plays a key part in shaping product strategy, technical direction, and organizational growth.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, people-focused engineering leader who enjoys both guiding teams and contributing hands-on when needed. This role requires experience leading multidisciplinary engineering groups, collaborating with sales and customers, and driving product development from concept through qualification. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a smaller, agile environment where leadership, accountability, and technical depth are equally important.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team across electrical, mechanical, embedded software, and standards-focused disciplines
- Drive new product development and enhancements from concept through design, testing, and release
- Collaborate with commercial teams and customers to translate requirements into technical specifications and solutions
- Oversee product testing and certification efforts to applicable industry and safety standards
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery
- Provide oversight of internal information systems and technical infrastructure in alignment with business needs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- 7–10 years of product development experience, including at least 2–3 years in an engineering leadership or management role
- Experience developing hardware-based products within regulated or standards-driven industries
- Familiarity with relevant safety, telecommunications, or compliance standards
- Proficiency with CAD or electronic design automation tools used in product development
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution
