Position Summary

GLOBALRx is seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive strategic growth. This executive-level role combines hands-on accounting expertise with strategic financial leadership, overseeing critical functions like financial reporting, budgeting, and KPI analysis while shaping long-term financial strategy. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong GAAP expertise, pharmaceutical industry knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • General Ledger Oversight: Manage and maintain the integrity of the general ledger; ensure proper coding and documentation of all entries.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, with precision and efficiency.
  • GAAP Compliance: Act as the internal subject matter expert, ensuring all accounting practices align with GAAP standards and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to develop, track, and adjust financial forecasts and budgets.
  • KPI Reporting & Financial Analysis: Conduct proactive financial and market analyses; deliver insights that support strategic business decisions.
  • Operational Accounting: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring seamless processes.
  • System Oversight: Ensure proper integration and reconciliation between Quick Books and Odoo; manage one-touch data entry accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, workflows, and internal controls to support growth.

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 2+ years in a senior or supervisory role with controller-level responsibilities strongly preferred
  • Expertise in GAAP accounting and reporting across multiple entities
  • Advanced proficiency in Quick Books and Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros, data slicing)
  • Strong understanding of ERP/reporting systems (experience with Odoo a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
