The Senior Accountant will provide analytical and strategic support to the Plant Controller and other Operations Management of the Cleveland, NC plant. The primary duties of this position include performance of monthly financial close tasks, financial forecasting and analysis, managing the company’s specific financial KPIs, providing analytical support to the Plant Controller to identify areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

The Senior Accountant will also assist in enforcing a strong internal control environment.

• Provide analytical support to Plant Controller, including managing KPI's, performing cost analysis, etc.
• Update and publish daily KPI reports.
• Perform monthly financial close tasks (journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, management reporting).
• Assist with preparation of monthly forecasts and Annual Operating Plan.
• Track progress in the Operational Excellence incentive program and maintain payout accruals.
• Prepare forecasts and actuals reporting for cost savings projects.
• Partner with Supply Chain team on inventory analysis and initiatives and coordination of physical inventory.
• Assist in enforcing all internal controls as well as assisting with all external and internal audits.
• Assist Operational Excellence initiatives by providing analytical support when applicable.
• Participate in or lead process improvement projects.

• Proficient in GAAP accounting principles.
• Month-end close experience, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting experience.
• Skilled in analyzing extensive financial data sets.
• Strong PC/Systems knowledge and skills and proficiency in automated accounting systems.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers and external business partners.
• Experience in dealing with complex accounting matters, product development, technical specifications, and project management and maintaining quality standards.

• 5 – 7 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

• JDE E1 or similar ERP experience.
• Master’s Degree or CPA.
• Lean/Six Sigma Experience.
