J&K General Contractor, Inc., is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager with strong banking and financial management expertise to oversee the company’s financial performance, particularly in construction financing, loan portfolio oversight, cash flow optimization, and P&L management. This role supports project success by ensuring disciplined financial controls, maintaining lender confidence, and aligning funding with organizational goals.
Location: Raeford, NC (Onsite)
Proposed Salary: $45,000 + Commission
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company’s banking and lending activity, including construction loans, credit facilities, loan covenants, draw processes, and lender reporting.
- Manage and forecast P&L performance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, margin analysis, and alignment with project financials.
- Maintain and strengthen banking relationships; serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lenders, underwriters, and financial institutions.
- Support capital strategy by identifying financing needs and securing loans, lines of credit, bonding, and other credit instruments.
- Oversee short- and long-term cash flow and liquidity planning, including working capital analysis and debt structure optimization.
- Prepare and present financial packages, credit memos, and compliance documentation for loan applications, renewals, audits, and lender reviews.
- Monitor company-wide financial performance, including project-level funding, WIP schedules, and financial trend analysis.
- Evaluate financial risks, covenant compliance, and internal controls to ensure alignment with GAAP and industry standards.
- Partner with project managers and executive leadership to support cost allocation, financial planning, and performance reporting.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of construction and commercial finance, including job costing, WIP, bonding, and loan management.
- Experience managing multiple credit facilities, construction lending, and commercial banking relationships.
- Advanced financial analysis skills with emphasis on P&L analytics, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline, Quick Books, or similar financial systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with strong attention to detail.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or banking/credit certification preferred.
- 2-3 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally within construction, commercial lending, or a banking/credit-focused role.
- Experience managing construction or commercial loan portfolios strongly preferred.
Other Details
- Primarily on-site role with occasional travel.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
