Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Hugh Chatham Health at Home – Full Time, Flexible Scheduling Available

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) role at Hugh Chatham Health mary service area:
Wilkes County, NC (serving multiple North Carolina counties).

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday (36 hours). Flexible shifts available. The role is full‑time (part time and PRN positions also open), with an opportunity for company vehicle for full‑time employees.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment, implementation, and documentation of client status for home‑health clients under the direction of the registered physical therapist.
  • Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed.
  • Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately.
  • Maintain current knowledge of home‑care emergency policies, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a two‑year college‑level program approved by the American PT Association.
  • Achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in North Carolina.
  • Must have a current/valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and an even temperament when dealing with ill patients; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co‑workers.
  • Actively functions as a patient advocate.
  • Extended training program offered for new graduates.
