How You’ll Contribute
- Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
- Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
- Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
- Processes the images for radiologist review.
Required Licensure
- Registered ARRT Radiologic Technologist – RT(R)
- AND/OR
- NMTCB or Registered ARRT Nuclear Medicine – RT(N)
Essential Functions
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Prepares preliminary paperwork for final interpretation by the cardiologist.
- Performs exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests.
- Recognizes chest pain, arrhythmias with stress testing. Responds/obtains appropriate and immediate assistance as needed.
- Monitors, receives, and stocks stress lab supplies.
- Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoots minor problems, makes adjustments as needed during the procedure and prepares recordings for interpretation.
- Collects and/or reviews pertinent medical, historical, and medication information in order to perform the appropriate study prescribed by the physician.
- Assists with computerized charting, MUSE, and Paragon.
- Assists with activities to improve department processes, facilitate testing, and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results.

What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree, be a graduate of an approved course in Nuclear Medicine Technology, and one or more years of experience in Nuclear Medicine with a Nuclear Medicine registration. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses:
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.
