$17.50/hr - $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy.
• Assist the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• If PTCB certified, assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Assist in inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, and order errors.
• Assist the pharmacist in administering clinical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples.
• Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining relationships with local medical community providers.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep the Pharmacy Department stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.

• Earning and maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or required state certification/registration.
• Attending training and completing PPLs requested by Manager, and acquiring continuing education credits.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
